Ref: Fenix and Calcifer

History:
WARNING LONG STORY!

Calcifer was a powerful phoenix, no one dared to mess with him, however one day when he was 210 years old he fell badly sick. He knew he would die so he started to look for an egg to rejuvenate without loosing his memory (explained in others). Finally he found an egg and stole it. When his body finally died and turned into ashes, Calcifer’s soul got into the egg to replace the not-yet hatched phoenix inside it with himself, but the mother of the egg found it and interrupted the process. In consequence, when the creature inside the egg finally hatched, Calcifer found himself sharing his body with the little phoenix of the egg. The mother wasn’t very happy for that but she decided to take care of both and love them, and named the little phoenix, Fenix.
98 years passed and Fenix and Calcifer learned how to “tolerate” each other, Fenix’s mother treated them like brothers and loved them in the same way but one day, a group of hunters appeared of nowhere and tried to catch every creature of that place. Fenix and Calcifer escaped but got separated from Fenix’s mother. Not knowing where to go, Fenix and Calcifer flew for days trying to find a safe place to stay and they found a floating island where humans and strange creatures lived together.
When they arrived there, a young man gave them the welcome and Fenix asked if they could live there, the young man agreed with one condition, their body must be merged within a marble for easy transport and maybe some experiments. They didn’t like that idea but they needed a place to stay, so they agreed.
Two years later a tournament started in the island and many new people arrived to the island. That was when they met a blind, white-haired boy called Mekuro. Fenix and Calcifer quickly became friends with the blind boy and in the end of the tournament, Mekuro decided to stay in the island with his new little brother.

Other :
The phoenix type that Calcifer belongs, can take the body of a non-hatched phoenix and replace it with his own and thus rejuvenate, in result, when the egg hatched, the body of the phoenix who took the egg will be rejuvenated and his memory and soul will be preserved. In Calcifer’s case, the process to replace the body inside the egg was interrupted so only his soul was totally preserved, some of his memories were lost and only the bones of his head and neck stayed in Fenix’s body.

Also: Fenix doesn't know how to read.
